2016 Year in Review

This year was filled with extremes. High points include time with friends, celebrating family, Brent’s NYTs OpEds, Redstone’s growth, a successful reinvention of the Stanford Executive Program, and time to enjoy life in California where we are blessed to live. At the same time, there were lows. Some personal, like the loss of my grandfather, Harry Upton, others sharing in the losses of friend’s loved ones. We found stress testing us in 2016 to a greater extent that it had previously.

For everything you have missed you have gained something else, and for everything you gain you lose something else. – Ralph Waldo  Emerson
